Remote Control
GN ReSound hired my design studio once again to help with concept development and design of this new remote control for the ReSound & Beltone hearing aid brands.
The remote control is designed to sit comfortably in the hand and has large buttons making it easy to use. The 3 main function buttons have raised graphics which help to tactically identify each function, enabling the user to discreetly operate the remote control while in their pocket or handbag.
The studio work consisted of:
- Concept generation
- 3D modeling & visualization
- Product design
The design was made in collaboration with GN ReSound’s senior designer Henrik Hetz Christiansen & mechanical engineers.
After exploring many different outer shapes, we chose a shape that is similar to the charger design in order to keep a common design language through out ReSounds accessory products. Here are just a few of the many different button configurations we explored during the design process.
