Hearing aid charger

The future for hearing aids is rechargeable! That was the headline for the brief for this new product designed for GN ReSound.

GN ReSound hired my design studio to help with concept development and design of this compact charger/power bank for the ReSound & Beltone hearing aid brands. This new and innovative charger can recharge hearing aids on the go or overnight.

The charger can easily slip into your pocket or handbag when you are on the go or you can place it on your night table to fully charge your hearing aids for the next day. The charger is intuitive and easy to use. 90 percent of users have stated that they can use the charger without instructions.

When the hearing aids are placed into the charger, LED lights indicate the battery status for both hearing aids. On the back of the charger are LED lights that indicate how much power is in the built-in power bank. When fully charged it has a capacity to fully charge two hearings three times.

The studio work consisted of:

• Concept generation
• 3D modeling & visualization
• Product design

The design was made in collaboration with GN ReSound’s senior designer Henrik Hetz Christiansen & mechanical engineers.
